Women and Philanthropy - The Time is Now
New York Times Knowledge Network Online Course
This internet based course is brought to you by WPI in partnership with The New York Times Knowledge Network.
This course is designed to explain why gender matters in philanthropy, to help women develop deliberate and strategic giving plans, and to create awareness about the need to engage donors of all demographic backgrounds in pursuit of more just and sustainable communities and the world.
The course includes more than four hours of video including two presentations by Jennifer Buffett, President of the NoVo Foundation; a panel discussion with five engaged philanthropists moderated by Lisa Witter, Chief Strategy Officer, Fenton Communications; and an inspirational discussion about giving plans with Ellen Remmer, President, The Philanthropic Initiative. Narrative, resource material galore, and activities round out the curriculum.
Start the course at your convenience. Log in and out as time permits. You’ll be able to access the material for a full year from the time you register.
