2010 Women's Philanthropy Institute Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship

WPI is offering its second annual fellowship that provides Ph.D. candidates a $2,500 award for research and dissertation writing. The doctoral dissertation fellowship will be awarded to a scholar whose primary research focuses in the area of women’s philanthropy or gender differences in philanthropic behavior and giving.

Applications are due April 30, 2010 for the 2010-2011 year.

  WPI provides a continuum of research-based educational services to inform donors, fundraisers, institutions, and other constituencies about women’s philanthropy. In collaboration with the Center’s Fund Raising School, WPI offers “The Dynamics of Women’s Giving," the first two-day course designed specifically around women as donors. This course may be customized for your audience.

• Research

  WPI advances women’s philanthropy through original research by addressing significant and ground-breaking research questions. WPI translates research into increased understanding and improvements in practice.

• Convening
