Una Okonkwo Osili
Director of Research, The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University
In addition to serving as director of research at the Center on Philanthropy, Dr. Osili is an associate professor of economics at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) and an associate professor of Philanthropic Studies at the Center.
Her main areas of research include private transfers in developing and developed countries. Dr. Osili received the Stevenson Fellowship from the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council in 2006, and she was appointed as a fellow of the Networks Financial Institute in 2007. She has published articles in academic journals including World Development, World Bank Economic Review, Journal of Population Economics, Economic Development and Cultural Change, Journal of Development Economics, and the Review of Economics and Statistics.
Dr. Osili received her B.A. in economics with honors from Harvard University and her M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from Northwestern University.
