AALS Nonprofit Law & Philanthropy - This is the web site for the new Section on Nonprofit Law and Philanthropy within the Association of American Law Schools.

Action Without Borders (Idealist) - A directory of 20,000 nonprofits and community organizations in 140 countries. Lists volunteer opportunities, offers tools for nonprofit, job information, and salary surveys.

The Alford Group - Consulting firm to nonprofits for management and resource development.

Alliance for Nonprofit Management - Membership organization of management support organizations, individual professionals, and philanthropic organizations that provide training and consulting to nonprofit organizations.

American Association of Fund Raising Counsel and AAFRC Trust - Member firms of the AAFRC provide fundraising counsel and direction to nonprofits in North America whose goals directly relate to philanthropy. This organization's purpose is to advance the field of fundraising and promote philanthropy.

American Cancer Society - Nationwide community-based nonprofit organization. Largest source of funds for private, nonprofit cancer research in the U.S., with extensive prevention and advocacy programs.

American Red Cross - Nonprofit humanitarian organization which, together with the International Red Cross provides emergency and disaster relief worldwide.

ARNOVA - (Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action). The Executive Office of ARNOVA is located at the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy, Indianapolis, IN.

Association of Fundraising Professionals - The Association of Fundraising Professionals represents 25,000 members in 163 chapters in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, working to advance philanthropy and the fundraising profession through advocacy, research, education, and certification programs. Effective January 1, 2001, the National Society of Fundraising Executives (NSFRE) became the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).

The Aspen Institute - A global forum for leaders from various disciplines to discuss critical issues. Aspen Institute has several offices in the U.S. as has partners in Europe and Asia.

Aspen Institute Nonprofit Sector Research Fund - Offers grants for research on nonprofit issues in the United States and internationally. Has searchable database of projects and findings on topics covering nonprofit governance and management, advocacy, nonprofits and government, as well as current funding guidelines and application materials.

Association for Healthcare Philanthropy - This association is dedicated exclusively to the health care development profession. The site has the latest in healthcare fund raising education and information.

Arizona State University Center for Nonprofit Leadership and Management- The ASU Center for Nonprofit Leadership and Management exists to advance nonprofit leadership practice through four interdisciplinary areas of focus: research, nonprofit leadership education, assistance to nonprofits, and conferences and convenings.

Charity Channel - Hosts a variety of discussion forums for nonprofit professionals. National Center for Nonprofit Boards - NCNB, through its programs and services, seeks to strengthen the boards of directors of nonprofits. It provides tools to improve board performance and strengthen governance.

National Center for Family Philanthropy - The National Centerfor Family Philanthropy offers donors, families, and those who advise them access to research and other resources on philanthropy, small seminars and other programs, and publications on a wide variety of areas related to family philanthropy. The National Center also informs the larger public of the value of private philanthropy.

National Charities Information Bureau - Provides information on charitable organizations in an effort to help donors make wise decisions in giving.

Nonprofit Good Practice Guide - The Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership of Grand Valley State University offers the Nonprofit Good Practice Guide, a free resource available on the web. Applicable to any nonprofit, the comprehensive guide is designed particularly for new nonprofit managers. Directed by Dr. Joel J. Orosz, the Guide captures and organizes good practices to assist nonprofits in improving their efficiency and effectiveness.

Funded by a grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the online guide is a learning tool that provides hands-on tips, articles and other resources. The nine topic areas lead nonprofit managers to information that can be quickly and directly applied to their organizations. Included are Preferred Practices and Pitfalls, or "dos and don'ts" of nonprofit management. Web Site Profiles and Links, consisting of the most helpful online information sources, are annotated for reference. Nonprofit Services Consortium - A coalition of higher education institutions, service providers and grant makers from Missouri and Ilinois. The Consortium is a Building Bridges Initiative, funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

On Your Level Youth Project (OYLYP) - A 501-(c) (3) not-for-profit organization is looking for a few good men and women, young or retired, or in between. The work of the organization and Mr. Blair Karsch in Central Indiana has laid the groundwork to raise the bar. We are looking for talented, committed individuals or teams looking to work as interns or possible paid positions, where there will be optimum discourse and abundance.
