Indiana University appoints CASE VP Amir Pasic as dean of Lilly Family School of PhilanthropyIndiana University President Michael A. McRobbie and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Chancellor and IU Executive Vice President Charles R. Bantz have announced the appointment of Amir Pasic as the dean of the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Pasic’s appointment is subject to approval by the IU Board of Trustees and he is expected to begin his new position on Jan. 20, 2015. Lilly Family School Founding Dean Gene Tempel will continue to lead the school until Pasic’s arrival.

Gift creates Eugene R. Tempel Endowed Deanship The dean's position at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy is being endowed in honor of the school's founding dean, Gene Tempel. The Eugene R. Tempel Deanship is Indiana University's first named, endowed deanship. The endowment is a gift from several donors, including Bill and Irene Lilly McCutchen, Jim and Maureen Hackett, Bob Hartsook, an anonymous donor and others. The gift was announced during the school's "Celebration of Leadership" dinner honoring Tempel in Indianapolis on Thursday night.

Dr. Emmett Carson named first to hold Charles Stewart Mott Foundation Chair on Community FoundationsEmmett D. Carson, Ph.D., CEO and president of Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) and nationally recognized philanthropy leader, has been selected as the first person to serve in the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation Chair on Community Foundations at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, school officials announced today. He will be appointed visiting holder for the new chair, which is dedicated to understanding and strengthening community foundations. Carson will continue to serve as CEO and president of SVCF during his appointment.
