In our effort to better understand the complex set of relationships between faith and giving, LFI is happy to announce the completion of our 2006 Greater Indianapolis Congregational Survey project. In collaboration with the Indianapolis Center for Congregations, we were able to present an initial summary of our findings to area congregations on Monday, the 18th of September. An executive summary will be available via this web site on the first of November, 2006. The full report will be available for purchase via download from this website on the first of December, 2006.
At the intersection of philanthropy and religion there exists a great diversity of philanthropic histories, ideas, and questions. The Lake Institute on Faith & Giving conducts research at this intersection, with specific focus on faith and giving in the three great Abraham faith traditions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. As a service to the academic and faith communities, this section of our web site is design to give you access to our latest research findings under the tab labeled current research, provide an archive of past research under the tab labeled past research, and guide you to books, articles, as well as links to other research centers and organizations working on related issues under the tab labeled resources.
If you have research on the topic of faith and giving that you would like to see posted on this website, please contact lfi@iupui.edu or 317-278-8955.
