Religious Giving in Uncertain Times

  • 2009 Congregational Economic Impact Study released on October 27, 2009, finds that less than one-third of congregations report a decline in giving in the first half of 2009. In the new study of over 1,500 congregations, most said fundraising increased or held steady, but the number experiencing declines grew compared to last year.

The Annual Thomas H. Lake Lecture

On March 25, 2010, the Lake Institute will present the seventh annual Lake Lecture to be given by Dr. Ingrid Mattson, President of ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) and Director of the Macdonald Center for the Study of Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations at Hartford Seminary. The lecture is free and open to the public.
