"Without philanthropy, our human community is simply a collection of individual parts. Philanthropy ensures that not only do these individual parts receive what they need to thrive and grow, but it also connects these individual parts in unique ways that help the entire human community grow and develop in ways that are positive and good."

"There are other programs like The Fund Raising School, but none have the national and international scope, history of service and excellence, or are housed within an academic and research institution like the Center on Philanthropy. If you care about your local charitable hospital, or church, or Scout troop, or college, or homeless shelter, or museum, or nature preserve, or orchestra, or other charitable institution, then you should support TFRS and the Center on Philanthropy so that these organizations will be blessed with professionals who have received the proper training and formation needed to guide those organizations to success now and in the future."

Michael G. Perigo, CFRE, earned his Certificate in Fund Raising Management from TFRS in 2005. He has over 22 years of fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector and is the Development Director for Hemophilia of Indiana. Mr. Perigo supports The Fund Raising School through the Dorothy C. "Dottie" Rosso Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships that enable staff from small nonprofit organizations to receive TFRS training in ethical and effective fundraising practices.
