From the North or Northeast

Take I-465 West, which will turn into I-465 South just beyond exit 25 at Michigan Road/US 421. Take exit 20 for I-65 South. The junction is just beyond the 71st street exit from I-465. Proceed on I-65 south about 9 miles. Pass exits for Lafayette Road, 38th Street, and 22nd Street. Take exit 114 for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street/West St. Proceed south on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street for about 0.4 miles through three stoplights. Continue through last light in series of four to merge onto West Street. Try to move to the far right lane when you see Gethsemene Church and the cottage homes on the right. Proceed south on West Street about .3 miles to Michigan Street. Turn right on Michigan Street, which is a 4-lane one-way street going west. It is at the third light after the cottages of Ransom Place (lights are at St. Clair, Indiana Avenue, then Michigan Street). Go west on Michigan for two blocks to Blackford Street.

Turn right on Blackford Street. Go one block to the 4-way stop sign at the intersection of Blackford and North Streets. Turn right onto North Street. The Sigma Theta Tau building, where the Center on Philanthropy is located, is the building straight ahead - golden bricks and tall columns.

From the Northwest (I-65 from Chicago)

Proceed on I-65 toward downtown Indianapolis. Take exit 114, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street/West Street. Proceed south on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street for about 0.4 miles through three stoplights. Continue through last light in series of four to merge onto West Street Try to move to the far right lane when you see Gethsemene Church and the cottage homes on the right. Proceed south on West Street about .3 miles to Michigan Street. Turn right on Michigan Street, which is a 4-lane one-way street going west. From I-74, at the junction with I-465 take I-465 North. At the junction of I-465 North with I-70,
Take I-70 west. From I-70 heading west, proceed toward downtown Indianapolis. Several freeways come together near the IUPUI campus. Stay in lanes for I-65 Chicago as you near the city. DO NOT follow signs for I-70 West after you pass the Rural Street exit. The exit for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street/West Street is a LEFT EXIT. Take exit 113 for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street/West Street.

From the South (I-65 from Louisville, I-70 from St. Louis)

On I-70, proceed toward downtown Indianapolis. Stay in the left hand lanes in order to merge onto I-65, heading for Chicago. On I-65, proceed toward downtown Indianapolis and continue following signs for Chicago. Stay in the left hand lanes. The lanes on the right go to Columbus, OH. The exit for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street/West Street is a LEFT EXIT. It comes within ½ mile of the split leading for I-70 east to Chicago. Take exit 113 for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street/West Street.

Visitor parking is marked in the Sigma Theta Tau lot. If possible, please call ahead to obtain a University parking pass.
