Beverly A. Ernest is Director of Finance for the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. She is responsible for directing and administering the fiscal activities of the Center, including budgeting, accounting, purchasing and accounts receivable. Additionally, she develops activity-based accounting models for the Center. In collaboration with the Center Cabinet, Ms. Ernest forecasts revenue and expenditure patterns for Center Strategic Plan activities. She develops reports for the Board of Governors, and serves as liaison to the Finance Committee of the Board.
Ms. Ernest brings to the Center 11 years' experience as a fiscal officer/financial analyst/grants manager on the campus of Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. Her assignments have included the Office of External Affairs, the Department of Medicine, the Schools of Social Work and Education, and the office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance. Ms. Ernest has a liberal arts degree from IUPUI. Currently, she also serves as a trainer of campus employees in the use of the university's Financial Information System, as a member of the IUPUI Research Administration team, and on the University Information System MyIU steering committee. She volunteers for Friends of the Johnson County Library and the Muscular Dystrophy Association and is treasurer of the Johnson County Alumni Panhellenic Association.
