The Annual Thomas H. Lake Lecture
On April 10, 2008, the Lake Institute presented the fifth annual Thomas H. Lake Lecture given by Dr. Paul Schervish, Director of the Center on Wealth & Philanthropy and Professor of Sociology at Boston College. The title of his address was Receiving and Giving as Spiritual Exercise, and he writes: "The leading question of this era is not just how to appropriately accumulate great wealth, but how to allocate it for deeper purposes…for what I call a moral and spiritual citizenship of care."
