Tim Fisher serves as Chief Financial Officer for the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. He is responsible for advising the Center leadership with respect to financial reporting, planning and practices as well as directing the day-today financial activity of the Center including transaction processing and procedures, budgeting, financial analysis and planning.
Mr. Fisher brings to the Center 19 years of experience within Indiana University as a senior financial manager for programs on both the Indianapolis and Bloomington campuses. He has previously served the University as director of finance for the IHETS technology consortium, director of fiscal affairs and development officer for the School of Social Work and manager of financial analysis and reporting for the University’s Information Technology Services. And, in addition, has held administrative positions with Purdue University’s offices for contract and grant administration and sponsored research administration.
He earned his B.S. in business at Ball State University, M.S. in higher education administration at Purdue University, Certificate of Executive Leadership at Vanderbilt University’s School of Management, and a Certificate in Fundraising Principles and Techniques from The Fund Raising School at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. In addition, Mr. Fisher has also held associate instructor appointments for Indiana University’s schools of Public Affairs and Business.
Committed to serving his community, Fisher has held leadership positions on boards in his home community of Zionsville, Indiana with such organizations as the Zionsville Public Library and Lions Club International as well as serving in volunteer positions with the Boys and Girls Clubs and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
